I'm basically from Auckland but I was travelling North Island over the weekend to celebrate my 25th birthday.

I was driving from New Plymouth to Taupo at the middle of cold night (1°C) this Friday, September 28th. I was driving on SH 32 on western bay road when my car lost control and went deep into the bushes.

It was literally flying in the air for few seconds and I was scared to death. There was no reception there but the police came and dropped us to the nearest town where they gave us the business card of Turangi Auto Centre.

A lady named Shiree pulled over at the place of crash way before police or anyway showed up. She was the first person to contact Simon and inform him about the accident and later I found out that Simon and Turangi Auto Centre was the same, Thank God!!

I can't thank her enough and I can't thank Simon enough because no one could have helped us the way he did. He not only picked us from where the police dropped us. He took us back to the accident place, brought our car back to the road from bushes and trees, towed our car all the way to Turangi town centre, gave us few options of what we can do. We stayed in Turangi for two days and next day he dropped us to the nearest Hong Kong restaurant. He not only gave us excellent service but he also treated us as his guest.

I can not wait to be back on those roads again to actually finish my trip in a good way but if I ever drive across this area again, I'm meeting this guy just to say hello!
